To give Nigerians, who live in areas like Ikeja and Victoria Island a good fun spot, a new entertainment company, Funflex Park and Rides has established Magodo area of Lagos to excite fun seekers.
The management of the company has indicated that it was out to change the game with a fresh determination to spread it tentacles across the city. The company, which had so far invested a total of N3 billion in the recreational businesses has indicated readiness to revolutionise the art of recreation in Nigeria as it planned to build parks in five major cities.
At a press conference held in Lagos recently, the Managing Director of Funflex and Rides, Mrs. Vivian Nwadike, who disclosed that the investment had taken several years of planning to bring to fruition, stated that the whole idea is to create an enterprise that would generate both direct and indirect jobs for at least 150 Nigerians.
While commenting on the prospects and the likely challenges of growing such business, Nwadike opined that since recreation contributes a great deal to emotional stability and make up of any individual, the company considered it necessary to assist by providing facilities for various sporting activities which will be beneficial not only to the adult but the children.
Explaining further on plans for the facilities, Nwadike assured Lagosians of a fun loving experience as many upcoming artistes have been lined up to perform on regular basis. Nwadike who boast of many years of experience in the hospitality business stressed that she is determined and ready to bring the experience to bear adding that going forward, the company may go into partnership with international bodies so as to bring a unique sense of touch to recreation.
Advising parents on the need to encourage their families to participate actively in recreation activities, Nwadike stressed that aside the mental alertness which it provides, such adventure enhances the level of confidence and bond that exist in the family.
She said: Recreation such as this makes the children to be adventurous and help boost their confidence level. So, I encourage parents to take time out to enjoy with the children by visiting this park. They have a lot to enjoy. We are bringing upcoming artistes to come here once in a while”
While giving assurance on the level of security put in place to make the experience fun loving for fun seekers, Nwadike says the company has engaged the necessary security apparatus to guide against any untoward action in and around the facility.
